Dreaming of Peace?
When giants arise, so too stress. Mental tension marches up and down the avenues of the mind at increasing speed.
Any mountain, any task, any fear can become a bully to faith. A teenage David already knew this. Giants compel faith to submit to them. This boy born to be King David already knew what doesn't break you, builds you. Not bad for his tender age.
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. (1 Samuel 17:45)
The God that has protected you yesterday is still up for it today. Memory is one of your greatest assets in the fight of faith.
Fear and faith are not bed partners. Giants are to be confronted until they fall. With God on your side, you and God are a majority.
The Last Word:
Rest peacefully because - The God behind you is greater than the giant before you.
