The Road Home is Clear
Pursue righteousness, flee the love of money. Lay firm hold of the eternal, and jettison the temporal from the mind.
Strive for that brightest and eternal tomorrow, and do not permit the wonders of today to blindside you from tomorrow.
Sow righteousness while you can, and watch for its seeds to grow.
Do not be dissuaded away from your Christian faith by deceiving delights that draw your eyes and fill your ears with the false promises of sin.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.(1 Timothy 6:10-12)
Take hold of life that is truly life. God has marked the pathway clearly. It will be cold, it will be rocky, and it will meander - but just stay on it.
