Soul Snack 8/54... The Mark of God
Wafting through this workplace consistently was the stench of boasting and the pride of the sinful heart. The workplace of difficulty assails the righteous. Endurance not energy is such an unpleasant 'place' to be in. Your spirit is grieved by this unhealthy disregard for righteousness.
Wrestling in the darkness of indulgent corruption, you see and live with the ungodly practices of those around.
You valiantly attempt to live in His righteousness but you feel their unrighteousness. You try to stay pure. You will not rob, cheat, be immoral, use foul speech or live with dishonourable conduct.
You now live with the rejection of those around. You will not participate in detestable things. '...and said to him, "Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it." ' Ezekiel 9:4
Yet there is no darkness that God can't see through. There is nothing too hidden or obscure for God.
In these places God has His own marked. Markings signify ownership. You are seen and protected by God's own 'branding'. He owns you!
When He sees, He acts. You are still safe.
When He moves, you won't have to. He won't ask you to bring judgement, simply shine righteousness. (Even if it is unseen.) He so easily recognises His own.
The time of judgement is kept from you. It is God's habit to mark out His own ... single them out for special protection.
You are habit forming for God. His habits are for the well being of His righteous ones.
