Soul Snack 8/123 ... Spring Rain
Dormant, yet very well abilities lie, some even unrealised in each one of us. they need watering and then nurturing. They need releasing.Circumstances conspire, people wither inside. A dehydrated spirit, an unfed or miss-fed soul will deliver a weakened heart.
With unceasing regularity the evil one will act to rob us of our destiny. His intentions to remove us from a higher good pleasing and perfect will.(Roms 12:2) He manipulates in a seductive or destructive malevolence. He distracts us with deceiving desires. He seeks to keep those heaven bound from heaven's help.
God has his own watering system, daily He holds it open above the believer's heads. The nozzle is set to a gentle, soaking spray.
God sees the seeds still planted in me (Mt 25:15, Roms 12:3c, 1 Cor 12:11). He knows what they are. He planted them. seeds of gifting and abilities. Seeds directly from Him of mercy and grace, love and justice. Seeds of His influence that will bring me great joy and blessing of eternal benefits.
God's watering system is His Holy Spirit. He is received on request (Lk 11:13), remains with obedience and soaks in stillness.
God's living water dampened me yesterday, nourishes me today and nurtures me tomorrow.
In stillness I am open to the moisture of Heaven. Close the umbrella of busyness, lethargy or sleep. Beneath a tree or a rooftop sit under His open skies that He may water you afresh today.
Daily His Spirit is to me like a rain cloud in spring. (cf Prov 16:15b)
