Soul Snack 8/135 ... Avoid or Available?

Each family celebration returns with the regularity of the calendar.

Many celebrations are appropriately marked by gift giving - that tangible expression of warm relationship towards another.

The available time to shop, the imagination to decide on gifts and of course budgetary constraints all conspire to limit the gift buying forays. (I  guess this may well represent the nature of a finite existence in a finite world.)

Yet, The Father knows limits,He  lives under no such constraints. He is not subject to the finite. It is His creation. No creator will ever be subject to their creation.

In giving He shows Himself tireless.

He is no cosmic reservoir, He is the eternal river.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb... Rev 22:1

His river is for my life. I can choose to swim in it and drink from it.

I can choose to wade in it or immerse in it.

The only limit to the amount of my receiving from Him is me.

I choose to avoid or be available.

When I am in His presence, I receive His presents.

For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. Jn 3:34
