Soul Snack 8/30 ... 5 Billion Competitors

So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe—the richly ornamented robe he was wearing- and they took him and threw him into the cistern. Now the cistern was empty; there was no water in it. Gen 37:23-24

The desert noonday sun exactly pierced the darkness of the lonely well. Sore and sorry this youth sat sharing anger, loneliness and pain with no one. This brother is so wrong. Joseph so innocent.

Years later, an innocent servant enters the house, almost as empty as the well. (Genesis 39:11).

In the intervening years God had intervened.

Prosperity and favour had come upon his life. God had seen the empty well. God had rescued and restored.

God is still observing, as His faithful servant flees another man's faithless wife. Yet this innocent man is still to be found guilty.

God pays attention to the blameless. He is fully aware of their complete circumstances. He is observant, attentive and watchful. He even desires to see their lot. His deliberate attention spells receptionof justice and delivery of restoration. The blameless are not forsaken, the downtrodden are not unobserved.
