Soul Snack 8/60 ... The Sands of Time

Captured in deep sand below a balmy tropical sea, this silent time-encrusted sentinel to man's mis-placed confident endeavours lay.

Centuries of a watery hidden ignominy had done this object of worship no honour.

The deft hands of craftsmen making the exquisite only to be consumed by time.

The statue now as forgotten as the man who crafted it. The statue, almost as decayed as the men who worshiped it. Their god just as dead now as when the statue was made.

Their work, their worship proven valueless, time endures but talent does not.

Sowing into sands beneath the sea is of no more eternal value than worshiping what he had created.

My honour, my hopes, my help are of great value only when crafted for the skies and not for the sands.

My aspirations, my activities and my attempts are to be sent ahead of me to heaven, not behind me to hopelessness.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Jn 15:16

The sands of time need not bury my worship or my work, for my worship and my work is to live forever; it is to bear fruit that will last!
