The sharp crack of china on tiles was an unmistakeable trigger. A desperately wizened young spirit awaited the repeated verbal violence in an unexpressed terror.
The broken cup now, recently spilt juice, and just yesterday a dripping sauce-stained shirt from a devon sandwich all conspired to elevate her current terror.
Even though luxuries were available in this household, love was not!
Pain had been substituted for patience and terror for trust in this toddler's tender life.
Her father in heaven sees her clumsiness and He witnesses the spilt milk, the splintered cup and the stained shirt.
Her father in heaven feels her heart of fear yet enjoys her heart of good intentions. He affirms her desire to be acceptable. Even when she fails, He won't fail her. Failures or just errors will never interrupt His unconditional love and patience.
Failures enhance His patience, they invite His love!
His love and patience to His own is as unlimited as their ability is to need it!
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
Thankyou Father that you don't see me as some others do. Thankyou father that you see a prince/princess even if I'm only a pauper.Thankyou that daily I receive the grace and goodwill of your unlimited love. AMEN
