As God stumbled from His three day entombment He flexed disused muscles, and stretched scarred palms to the heavens. He knew the past was forever behind Him. Surely His Spirit screamed, "thankyou Father!" Surely His Father responded in kind.
Pain, fear and humiliation were now absent from Him. Insults, injury and illness forever delightfully abandoned.
Boldly He would walk through closed doors, unseen he would accompany His friends to Emmaus and selflessly prepare a dawn seaside breakfast.
As Jesus re-entered life His past would never claim Him again.
To live a risen life with Jesus is to carry past scars.
To live a risen life with Jesus is to stretch out to the heavens.
To live a risen life with Jesus is to scream out 'thanks!'
To live a risen life with Jesus is to do what was previously impossible.
To live a risen life with Jesus is to know your past has no claim over you ever again.
"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him." (Mark 16:6)
