When life refuses to heal ~ B

Soul Snack 175/13 ... When life refuses to heal ~ B

When life is constantly difficult its road is built upon jagged boulders, and the mountains are slippery steep.

It is then that indulgence promises comfort. BUT the paradox of indulgence is the greater the pursuit, the greater the comfort still eludes - OR the more self-discipline is pursued the more that comfort flees.

When pain becomes the glue of the days, and binds the pages of life's calendar - sin enters, entices and promises to be the panacea. Pain bleats: a sinless release is unavailable. There is little relenting to temptation.

When the soul is seeped in a searing sadness what value are the strivings to do bad or good - for strivings do not heal?

In faith, recall the heart of your creator for you, for a bruised reed He will not break and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. (Is 42:3)

Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment. (Matt 9:22)

AND YES - please take heart, for it is only upon the pure path of faith that permanent healing is received.

The impossible is still available to those who rely on the eternal.

Today's Soul Snippet:

"While the carnal rules the spiritual evil, will remain unchallenged."
