Alone with Jesus - B

Soul Snack 9/169 ... Alone with Jesus - B

A horde of the hungry sat amongst the dust and the wildflowers. Seeking food from out of this world, they would also receive supernatural food from within this world. Seeking the spiritual first never hinders but rather assists the physical.

The impossible challenge will come to those who follow Jesus alone.

Eyes cast low are invited to be lifted higher. In obedience the eyes of faith, see the impossible becomes possible. The impossible is available to those who rely on the eternal.

When I am alone with Jesus He will ask me to do things and go places I would never have imagined. Miracles come to the obedient.

He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd." (About five thousand men were there.) (Lk 9:13-14)

Stunned disciples heeded His instructions to feed 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Surely a chorus of 'why' was channeled across their minds as he instructed the multitude to sit down!

The resources were as minimal as the task was huge.

Extending faith is what Jesus has for all His followers who would withdraw with Him. Faith building is Jesus' 'game'. Moving lives from the natural to the supernatural is His intention. Through this food now, Jesus would feed their faith today for tomorrow.

He would do this for you too.
