Screaming to Priests

Soul Snack 121/13 ... Screaming to Priests#

From within the most chastening point of humility I must write:

God will hold priests accountable this day as He did in the days of Ezekiel and Malachi.

Today the thinking of the world is the rudder of the church, as we offer little sacrifice, give lip service to righteousness and still find fault with brothers.

We believe in prosperity but refuse to devote our lives. We withhold our time from the living God to give it to dead men who wrote dead books about the only living book.

Our worship is devoid of grace, it is pomp and self-promoting. We speak in elegance but our lives are hollow and steeped in judgement upon the disciples before us.

Our knowledge is our salvation and our knees are rarely worn.

Where is the priest who will tear his heart and rend his garments?

Where is the priest who will see his own logs, fell his own forests and bend himself before the altar of humility?

Itching ears are scratched by barren branches from the Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Life is ignored as we are satisfied that our abundant knowledge equates to abundant faith.

The priesthood still fails in pride, the absence of pure knowledge and divine instruction.

“For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth." (Malachi 2:7)

Sacrifice is first given by stillness within the secret place, only then is true spiritual health received from heaven for both priest and parishoner alike.

Church is not for the shepherd but sheep.

Jesus is far more interested in your attention than your achievements.
