Heaven vacant?

Soul Snack 9/76 ... Heaven vacant?

Flat, prostrate, motionless is how he lay.

He dare not look up!

Fear coursed every sinew and fibre of his being. To his mind silence threateningly ruled!

He dare not look up!

His stillness did not betray his inner wrestling arena. He appeared composed. Although at best his internals were now a jumbled jigsaw, resembling random pieces not interlocked in any manner with other random pieces.

Engulfed in being correct - he dare not look up.

Seeming aeons had transpired since assuming this reverse supine positon of humility. Actually very attentive to his patient presence this divine regent looks generously upon him.

Still, he dare not look up.

Patiently and graciously the regent waits - he waits longer. The regent softly calls to him, there is no reponse. Still the servant lay, as if comatose. Fear is his captor.

This quiet grace-saturated voice continues to reach out, now simultaneously with extended arms to deliver freedom. An affirming face and an embracing welcome the servant still misses. Fear is his captor.

God was ready with his banquet invitation. His servant was not yet ready to attend.
