'Love' is not the stairway to heaven! Righteousness challenges and then removes the compulsion of sin. Its rule robs sin's passions, thus evil flees.
Jesus cares for sheep, especially the lonely and lost ones. Satan sees Jesus as his competitor for the weak and lost sheep. Jesus and satan are complete opposites.
When we dig a bit into our lives, we may find that 'love' has been as much a delight as it has been a delinquent.
The Lord examines His disciples. He does not measure their abilities or inabilities, not even for a minute. Jesus scans the heart for a believer's availability.
