The true place of Scripture in Christianity

Blessed is the man who understands that the Bible interprets him, and not he the Bible.

'Apples' fall from the Tree of Knowledge that the Tree of Life would not contemplate. 

  1. Don't change the Scriptures, let them change you.
  2. The written Word is worshipped while the living Word is neglected.
  3. We have created theologians and not disciples. ~ anon
  4. The Bible is not to be worshiped but the Author of it is. 
  5. Truth is no more found from theology than salvation is gained by studying the Word. (see John 5:39-40).
  6. Reformation in worship without reformation of the heart is no reformation at all.
  7. Jesus died for relationship with you, not ritual from you.
  8. Theological comfort is the enemy of the Holy Spirit's work.
  9. Devotion to doctrine has replaced doctrine of devotion.

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. (John 5:39-40)

Is there a 'wilderness' the Christian church 'dances within'?

Has a wilderness of pride, performance and preaching become the 'flesh' of the modern church?

Jesus' words 'are under' His Work.
