The Conflict of ALL Ages!

Since Adam and Eve's 'generosity' mankind too has chosen to 'eat' between two trees, the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

These two trees have challenged the course of the human race. (Rick Joyner)

Which 'fruit' do I eat?

Eve and Adam ate first, and unwittingly became the archetype of all mankind.

This ever-lasting choice is mankind's focal point until the good Lord returns.

When satan tempted Eve with 'that apple' he was in fact enticing her to cast her eyes from her God, who too walked with her.

Satan tempted her with 'that apple' because the source of his power was rooted, but also bound in that tree. (Rick Joyner)

The Lord knew satan's 'apple' was sweet poison, hence His prohibition.

In the perfect Eden mankind's focus was only on the Lord.

In the polluted Eden Adam and Eve's eyes were re-pointed to self.

The Tree of Knowledge causes us to focus our attention upon ourselves. It drives us either to corruption or self-righteousness, both of which lead us to death. There is no easier way to keep us from the Tree of Life than to have our attention focus upon ourselves. (Rick Joyner)

Life consists daily of choosing between the guidance of these trees. They are competitors, they are not complementary.

Each christian needs to become a spiritual fruit picker.

The conflict existing across all ages is:

which tree am I eating from? This question must be asked because my eternity depends upon the answer.

For there is no good tree which produces bad fruit; nor, on the other hand, a bad tree that produces good fruit. For each tree is known by its fruit. (Luke 6:43-44)

Double-mindedness is seeded from the Tree of Knowledge, but there is no duplicity for those who choose to partake from the Tree of Life alone.
