The Profit of Patience

Patience is the mother of rest, a perfume that wafts across harmony.

Patience is the God-shaped waiting season for the re-gaining of strength and the joy of restoration.

Patience is the safe garage to park impulsiveness and then lock its door. It is when impatience is absent that wisdom has time to marinate the soul.

Patience is protection. It is the crucifixion of rash judgement.

This season of patience removes the battery from mankind's time-honored clock to strive.

In patience is the finding of the Lord (Psalm 46:10), instead of the doing of His work.

Through patience the clang of goals and the bellow of tasks are muted.

During the season of patience the Lord's name in my life moves from being a diary entry to a heart entry.

Patience casts hope, for it knows that the end of the matter is impossible to rush, and is far better than its beginning. (Ecclesiastes 7:8)

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. (James 5:7)

Patience waters faith. It is Divine cement to a Christian's needed character.

Patience turns thirsty grounds into bubbling springs; burning sands into cool pools.
