Casting your memories across the heavens

Our streets boil over with hate, crime, anger and sheer hopelessness. (Franklin Graham)
Ever more the world wearies. Weariness thrusts the human soul forward into temptation.
Has exhaustion too sought your soul?
Has life wreslted your joys, while the weeks only bleat?
'Week' no longer describes your tomorrows, for now it is spelled 'weak'?
The world is lost in self. The command to sin is louder to the weary. Fuelled by avarice, lust, glory (and so much more) while its darkness thickness.
What a paradox was set as Jesus began his ministry! Jesus fought at His weakest while satan's temptations were at their highest and strongest.
But what a far greater paradox Jesus lived on His cross. When Jesus was at His 'lowest' He held all 'life' up at its highest - upon His bloodied shoulders. No yielding!
These are the life-redeeming words of our savior, thrown across all skies ...
-
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
-
“Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
-
“Woman, behold your Son!” (John 19:26)
-
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)
-
“I thirst.” (John 19:28)
-
“It is finished!” (John 19:30)
Rebuking satan in His first tests of torture Jesus quoted the Old Testament, but with His final spoken words He wrote the New Testament.
Could He long you to pen 'a testament' across the heavens too? Ask Him if you're unsure.
