The race and the war is against my flesh and blood. My enemies are unseen and misunderstood (i.e. is deceiving) assailants. My spirit is strong but my body is weak.
I seek with gusto to pursue and know righteousness, but wickedness stands behind me pushing; it sits on my shoulders whispering soft words of seduction and then lies in front of me inviting.
Wickedness stands before my very eyes wearing a pretty mask. Its attempts are to consume all my todays in multiplying its unredeemed pleasures. To fall is to donate my soul, evil will own all my tomorrows.
Today my soul belongs to me, today I decide all my tomorrows.
Start the day with Jesus, trek the day with Jesus, and then end each day with Jesus - give tomorrow a chance.
