When Profits are as Vapor

Therefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and brought it upon us, for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works He has done, and we have not obeyed His voice. (Daniel 9:14)

The days are coming, the time fast approaches when an unsettled mankind will return to their own ways. Their lusts and greeds are momentarily withheld, but never truly contained.

This season where much money is lost, trade is suppressed and profits are as vapor - mankind laments.

The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over Babylon because no one buys their cargoes any more. (Revelation 18:11)

The merchants stand far off with a panoramic grasp of the globe, seen as never before. Their eyes tear-up and their hearts are heavy with sadness. God's words cannot be heard above their sighs and groans, nor is it sought.

God's works are muted upon Earth by mankind's own power. This is transitory power that foolish and proud men believe is permanent. It is not so.

The day of reckoning is sudden, a surprise as a thief in the night. It cannot be hastened or halted.

Take the time of warning now, read this season through humble minds, lest this warning be not heeded and the second state becomes far worse than the first.

He who has an ear let him hear.

Judge tomorrow by what the Lord is saying today.
