John the Baptist and Jesus were unequal partners in Heaven's planning. Christmas makes this clear
Mary was the Divinely chosen conduit of eternal salvation. But Easter does 'the heavy lifting'.
NOTE: Babes are celebrated but Messiahs are crucified.
The apostle Paul nicely sums up Christmas (around 56 AD) as he wrapped up His 3rd and final missionary journey:
Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen. (Romans 16:25-27)
Whatever 2026 reveals for you, worship as the foreign Kings, sing as the angels and copy Mary all the way from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, remembering daily to visit the foot of His cross, That Cross.
Pursue humility, thankfully receive His supernatural favor and then all year praise His glorious Name, for God does not withdraw His gifts ... it is well with my soul.
