The Way of Blessing
The stone across the tomb was a mere pebble to He who is the Rock of Ages.#
The dreadful consequence if Christ is not risen is not that death ends life, but rather we are still in our sins.#
We have no choice re death, but Jesus did.
Easter Day exists because Jesus first died to His human spirit in Gethsemane, thus His feet would not flee physical death.
Gethsemane was where Jesus chose to die. Gethsemane was where He subdued His screaming flesh. A task we all battle with.
There is no resurrection if there is not first self-death.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
When Christ rose death died.
When Christ returns we arise.
