Waiting for God to Move?

The Lord is not slow as He measures His promises. Most men measure differently.

In the forbearance of tenacious solitude I will sit closely to the rock that is higher than I.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word daily (without fail) I place my hope-laden faith.

My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. (Psalm 130:5-6)

The Psalmist speaks intensely and faithfully, he knew he could no more hurry our Lord's appointed times than the dawn can be hastened.

God's delays are equally His reminder of mans' impotence before Him, as much as it is His call for us to pursue Divine strength.

Waiting is the finding of my home in Jerusalem, it is truly the enjoying of God's presence.

Solitude is often the Lord's ordained couch to recline upon, from that stilled patience.

From a settled meekness I vote with King David...

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27:13-14)
